  1. Preamble

Petitescréances.ca is a business name of Lexar Consultants inc. (Hereinafter “Lexar”). Lexar is the sole owner of the domain names “petitescreances.ca” and “small-claims.ca”. Its purpose is to recommend clients, who register on the Site, to lawyers collaborators who wish to accompany them in the judicial process of the Small Claims Court. Clients and lawyers collaborators are commonly referred to as “Users” under these terms and conditions.

  1. Registration as a Client

Registration for the website Petitescreances.ca (hereinafter “the Site”) is free of charge. To register, simply go to the “My Office” page. You will then be asked to enter your email in addition to choosing a password. You can also register when purchasing a service and / or package, or when registering for an appointment with a lawyer. Following your registration, you will receive a welcome email containing several important information. If you do not see an email from admin@lexproconsultants.com in your inbox, please check your junk mail box.

  1. Conditions of eligibility as lawyer collaborator

In order to act as a lawyer collaborator, you must be a practicing lawyer duly registered in the Table of the Order of the Bar of Quebec. Any lawyer who is a member of the Bar of Quebec can register for the Service by completing a registration form and accepting the privacy policy and the terms of use. In addition to certain conditions that it must respect in the collaboration agreement with the Site, it also undertakes to refuse any mandate that would put him in a conflict of interest with a possible client and / or the opposing party. In addition, he agrees to respect the rates posted on the Site for the services and packages offered.

  1. Prohibited use of the Site

As a User, you are prohibited from using the Site in a way that does not interfere with the operation and to submit, through the tools offered in the private portal, content which is slanderous, defamatory, obscene, Pornographic, abusive or threatening, or infringes privacy, violates any intellectual property laws or violates any other applicable law. Lawyers collaborators registered on the Site are subject to the rule of professional secrecy. They are obliged to maintain the confidentiality of any information received and / or exchanged, nor will they exchange your information with third parties without your consent.  However, you (client) agrees and authorize the Site to provide your information to any lawyer collaborator who may take charge of your request for accompaniment. Regarding your registration on the Site, the users undertake to maintain accurate the information provided in their account online for the duration of their use of the Site. If you change your contact information, you must make the change in your account as soon as possible. Your personal information will be kept for the duration of your registration on the Site. If you close your account, administrators will delete all information and other information about you contained in your account.

  1. Applicable Laws and forum

These general terms and conditions and their interpretation shall be governed by the laws of Quebec applicable therein. Any dispute concerning the use of this Site, by the users and / or third parties, must be heard in the district of Montreal, in the province of Quebec.
